Transition North Berwick (TNB) is a community group, open to all, for North Berwick and its surrounding area.  Its aim is to address the related problems of climate change and over-reliance on fossil fuels by developing local scale projects that will lead to a stronger, more sustainable community and a more vibrant local economy.  For more information about our current projects see Our Groups section.  TNB has been set up based on the boundary of the 'North Berwick Coastal' ward (view map). It includes the town of North Berwick together with the surrounding villages of Direlton, Gullane, Aberlady, Drem and Whitekirk.   The East Lothian towns of Dunbar (Sustaining Dunbar), Haddington (Sustainable Haddington), Stenton and others also have community groups of this kind and we have close links with them.
